Prince Harry was quite young when his mother, Princess Diana, passed away. It took him years and a lot of counseling sessions to come to terms with the harsh reality of life. The former Princess of Wales left the world over 25 years ago, but she still forms an integral part of her younger son’s life. The Duke of Sussex never fails to mention his late mother and always ensures that she is there with him in some or the other forms.

The California-based royal presented Meghan Markle with an engagement ring that had Princess Diana’s diamonds embedded in it. In his memoir, Prince Harry also confirmed that he wanted the former American actress to wear his late mother’s tiara on their wedding day. However, the late Queen Elizabeth II refused the proposal and begged the couple to choose something from her private collection. Meanwhile, it might surprise you that the Duke considers his first-born Archie as a blessing from Princess Diana. It might sound bizarre, but as per Daily Mail, he credited his mother’s hair for Markle’s pregnancy.

Prince Harry considers his mother’s hair a good luck charm

In the book, Prince Harry shared the intimate details of the moment he and Meghan Markle got to know about their first pregnancy. The couple did two home pregnancy tests in 2018 while staying at the Nottingham Cottage. However, the Duke fell asleep while Markle was performing the procedure. After waking up, one of the first things he saw was the test kept on his nightstand. The Sussex royal considered it a good omen as the tests were kept just beside a blue box that had the late Princess Diana’s hair in it. 

Prince Harry recalled saying, “Right, I thought, good. Let’s see what Mummy can do with this situation.” Interestingly, his first words after seeing the positive result were, “Thank you, Mummy.”

Meanwhile, in Spare, the Duke narrated another good omen that took place when they were trying to convince Archie. Reminiscing about one of their visits to the late Queen Mother’s former Castle, Prince Harry wrote how he tried to get the attention of a group of seals. He did not achieve success, but when Meghan Markle joined him in singing while walking along the shoreline, the seals responded quickly. The incident made the prince believe that his wife is magic.
