Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have quashed the rift rumors in style. There were strong speculations regarding the royal prince being miffed with the former American actress. He was upset with Markle because of the contractions in the content of the memoir and the Netflix docuseries. 

It was believed the Duke left home for a few days to have some away time away from his wife. What fueled the rumors further was the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not seen together following their return from Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September. However, the couple denied the news of the separation by going on a date night in a restaurant in California called The Dutchess. 

Archie and Lilibet did not accompany Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

It was an extremely low-key outing of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they visited the Ojai restaurant, which is situated approximately 20 miles away from their Montecito home. The Duke and Duchess surprised the restaurant goers with their impromptu visit. Meanwhile, they also managed to win the hearts of the staff with their kindness and polite behavior off the camera. 

Describing the outing, a source told Hello, “They came in just the two of them, and it was very impromptu, no reservations, very low key. They loved the food—the naans are made in-house. Everyone said they were really great, and they had a very pleasant time.”

While the staff was happy to see the couple, they were surprised to not see their kids, three-year-old Archie and one-year-old Lilibet with them. It is believed that Harry and Meghan left the children in the care of the latter’s mother, Doria Ragland. She has been a constant support for Markle since Archie’s birth in 2019.

Ragland took special grandparent classes worth $5.5k per session. Meanwhile, she also has a two-bedroom guest house for herself attached to the couple’s Montecito home. Ragland was the one who took care of the children when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in the UK.
