Written and directed by Amy Heckerling, the teen comedy drama also starred Stacey Dash and Donald Faison. Clueless also won the nomination for the best screenplay by the National Society of film critics and MTV film of the year.
What is Clueless about?
Loosely based on a Jane Austen’s book Emma, the movie is one of the best modern-day outlook of the novel. The movie shows a bunch of teenagers from Beverly Hills High School discovering love, popularity and life together. Cher Horowitz, played by Alicia Silverstone, is a wealthy Los Angeles high schooler who loves to be the matchmaker at her school.
Initially, she brings two of her teachers together, hoping to get her grades raised. Seeing how happy her teachers are together, she and her best friend Dionne continue with the matchmaking. However, her second attempt to bring her friend Tai and Josh, played by Paul Rudd, is nowhere close to her first one and leaves her in a whirlwind.

Meanwhile, Cher falls in love and things take a turn in a way no one expected. Cher realises all the while she was in denial of her love for Josh. The movie portrays high school comedy with an innovative concept and grows into something much more lasting. If you like movies with subtle romance and light humor, Clueless might be the perfect movie for you. Fans surely seem delighted at the news of Clueless’s release on Netflix.
