HRH Kate Middleton just had a heartfelt 41st birthday and fans could not stop pouring their love for the Princess. The Queen-in-waiting for Britain’s throne who is an asset to King Charles was also honored with a traditional Royal Honour on her special day. The same legacy of the Imperial Family has come down to generations with now only the Princess of Wales enjoying the exclusive prestige.

On the day of her birth Anniversary the grand old Coronation Site Church of the Royals, Westminster Abbey offered the Princess a special honor. As the clock struck 1 pm the previous day, a hoard of bells rang together in perfect harmony to present the Princess of Wales a special tribute. The ten historic bells chiming at the London Church rang for a full length of one and a half minutes.

The age-old custom of the Royal Family was last heard for a complete 96 minutes upon the sad demise of Queen Elizabeth II. The special honor at present is only reserved for the four core royals of the hierarchy. They are the monarch, King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate Middleton. Many of us might think the tribute is limited to just the four as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have left the Palace. However, the truth is way far from it.
However, you would be surprised to know that the bell rings never rang for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This also held true to the time when they too were counted as the senior Royals before their infamous Megxit. Such an unexplainable gesture by the UK Has raised quite many eyebrows. No one knows the reason for indifference towards the Sussex Couple.

Nevertheless, sources do claim that the honor has been narrowed for a specific reason. The covid guidelines and financial crisis that has crippled the United Kingdom for the past few months. The same have put some restrictions on the Church as well. The unavoidable circumstances took a toll on the Imperial Family. Prior to it, the bells also used to chime for other members of The Firm on their birthdays.
The directory included Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Camilla, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Prince William, and Kate. The Wales children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis enjoy the privilege. The bells also sounded every year for Prince Philip prior to his death. Alas, Harry and Meghan were never on the list.
