‘Ozark’ Season 4 Part 2: Emmy Winner Laura Linney AKA Wendy Byrde Goes Behind the Screen for Episode 11 to Mark Her Directorial Debut

We are most familiar with Laura Linney as Wendy Byrde on Netflix’s Ozark. But the actress has an array of acting credits to her name spanning her decade-long career. After acting for the better half of her career, now the actress has finally donned the hat of a director for Ozark season 4 part 2. She directed the series’ episode 11. 

Ozark follows financial advisor Marty Byrde who gets involved with a cartel boss, Navarro. He drags his family into the money laundering business as well and the family shifts from Chicago to Missouri. With shocking twists and turns, it is never a smooth sail for the Byrde family.

The actress has a feature comedy, The Miracle Club, in the pipeline. She will star alongside Maggie Smith and Kathy Bates in Thaddeus O’Sullivan’s directorial. The four-time Emmy winner has also won a SAG Award, a Gotham Award, five Tony Awards, and two Golden Globes. Her role in Ozark earned her an Emmy nomination in 2019 and 2020, consecutively. She even has a BAFTA nomination to her name. Apart from that, she has received nominations for three Academy Awards, Independent Spirit Awards as well as being nominated across two categories at the Critics’ Choice Award.

Besides the Netflix thriller, Laura Linney has appeared in The Big C, Frasier, Nocturnal Animals, Sully, The Nanny Diaries, Love Actually, Mystic River, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Fifth Estate, and many more.

Will the Byrdes make it to the end of Ozark season 4 part 2?

The final part 2 of Ozark season 4 will arrive on April 29th. Netflix just released a tense trailer for the final season. With Ben and Wyatt gone, Ruth Langmore is out for revenge. Meanwhile, Wendy remains steady in her resolve to expand their money-laundering empire while Marty wants out. In the trailer, Wendy is assaulted and Marty is afraid of this new Ruth. Whether the Byrdes make it out alive remains a big question until the premiere date.
