Dive in to know the unique connection between the actors from two different yet magnificent fantasy worlds.
Matthew Lewis explains the connection between his tattoo and Millie Bobby Brown
In 2016, Matthew Lewis shared a cute Instagram post that featured him and Millie Bobby Brown. The Harry Potter actor was seen flaunting the roman number XI tattoo on his forearm while Brown was pointing the same while making an astonished face. Meanwhile, it was the caption that stole all the thunder.
The legendary actor dedicated his tattoo to Millie Bobby Brown’s character in Stranger Things. “A lot of people ask what my tattoo means. Now you know,” Matthew wrote on his official Instagram handle.
The actual story behind Lewis’ tattoo
The post was all in fun and games as Lewis got the tattoo much before the first season of Stranger Things premiered on the television screens. In 2008, the 33-year-old reflected on his tattoo saying that it refers to his squad number in soccer.
“It was on my mind for ages what to get, so I said, why not get that because it’s always going to be my squad number, it’s never going to change,” the star said as quoted by EW.
The number 11 is also significant for Lewis in other ways. The actor was 11 years old when he auditioned for the path-breaking role of Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter.
Though Lewis did not get his tattoo done after being inspired by Millie Bobby Brown, the thought of a crossover between Harry Potter and Stranger Things looks tempting. Do you think the Duffer Brothers should collaborate with J. K. Rowling to create something magical? Share in the comments.
