Netflix Unveils the Trailer of the Most Video Game Accurate Adaptation, Tekken: Bloodline

Few franchises in the world have mesmerized fans in almost every domain. Tekken is one of them. Apart from having one of the best video game series of all time, the franchise is a perfect blend of story and action, making it one of the most interesting works of art. However, the genius of the series is yet to get a worthy adaptation. But it looks like Tekken: Bloodline by Netflix might be the deserving adaptation the series needed after all.

Yesterday the streaming service released a brand new trailer and a release date for the anime. And it will please a lot of the die-hard game fans.

Tekken: Bloodline is taking direct inspiration from the video games

Tekken had already had one modest chance at animation, but it pales in contrast to many of the other media options it has had, such as a complete live-action feature film production. However, the series will soon get its due in the anime world as it prepares for a completely new take on the famous fighting game video game franchise with Netflix.

The new trailer which you can check out below, gives us the first look at some of the crucial components of the show that the previous teasers did not.

Apart from revealing iconic characters such as Paul, King, and Kazuya, Leroy Smith, Julia Chang, assassin Nina Williams, Ling Xiaoyu, and Jin’s nemesis Hwoarang, the two-minute trailer gives us an exclusive look at fighting sequences from the show.

These sequences are one of the most accurate depictions of the video game than any other adaptation in the past. One of the major highlights can be the power hits that are authentically depicted in the trailer. In addition to fights and popular characters, the trailer also reveals the kind of arc our hero Jin will go through.

When is the show releasing?

The animated series, which appears to be taking inspiration from 1997’s Tekken 3, was first announced back in March of 2022. And almost after four long months, we finally have a release date.

Tekken: Bloodline will be available globally from August 18th of this year. With less than a month left for the release of the show, it is exciting to see what Netflix has in store for us.
