This announcement comes as a surprise, as raising Dion was actually loved by a lot of fans for the refreshing storyline. And to add to that, it has always been at the receiving end of rather positive reviews from the critics. Currently boasting an 83% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 61 on Metacritic, the show is in fact a success.
Raising Dion is based on the comic book and the short film of the same name by Dennis Liu. Featuring Ja’Siah Young as Dion Warren and Alisha Wainwright as Nicole Warren. The show beautifully portrayed the struggles of a single mother. And add to that, the son also has supernatural powers, which further adds a sense of excitement and thrill to the plot of the show. The show also featured the likes of Michael B. Jordan in a recurring role of Dion’s father and Nicole’s husband. The actor also served as an executive producer for the Netflix series.
You can stream Raising Dion seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix.
