A simple con man and jewelry thief went on to participate in one of the biggest heists in the world, yet ended up with a bold sacrifice. Money Heist, in its second season, gave Andrés de Fonollosa aka Berlin an honorable death while also setting his charisma as one that stood without parallels. Thanks to the character’s popularity, the latest nearly two-minute trailer of Berlin took fans back to his roots, exploring the relationship with his elder brother, The Professor, and their times before raiding the Royal Bank of Spain.

The opening shot saw the mastermind planning a sleuth of €44 million in one afternoon from an auction house in Paris. A brief look also showcased the star cast that would surround the show, including Pedro Alonso as the lead. Additionally, Berlin also got the auction owner’s house involved with him, which added a romantic edge to the series. Thus, the tone of the show also got outlined as one full of tension, humor, grit, and romance.

Berlin also stands pegged as a TV-MA-rated show along the lines of Money Heist. Furthermore, it would also follow the genres of action, adventure, thriller, and mystery as its parent. However, Netflix used its grand armory of subtitles, audio dubbing, and marketing to rank it as a record-breaking phenomenon.
