Netflix Confirms Squid Game’s Actor to Play Berlin in Money Heist Korean Remake and He Has a Message

Today is the biggest day for Money Heist fans, as the world-renowned series is finally concluding. But, this end will also be a new beginning as new shows and spinoff series are already on their way to treating us. One of those series is the Korean remake of Money Heist, and we got some pretty exciting news about this show. Netflix recently confirmed the actor who is going to play the iconic role of Berlin in the Korean version.

It is no surprise that Netflix is trying to capitalize on the fame of Korean shows. Following Squid Game and Hellbound, the Korean remake of Money heist might just prove to be the next big thing; this, along with the Berlin spinoff series, will enable them to ride the fame wave of La Casa de Papel. So let us see which Squid Game actor is going to play Berlin, and what message he has for us and Pedro Alonso, the real Berlin.

Money Heist Korean Remake: Park Hae-soo to play Berlin

Berlin is a character that always sticks with the plan, and can do everything in his power to achieve what he desires. We have seen this side of Berlin’s character on multiple occasions, and it is something we all love him for. So when casting another actor for that role, it only makes sense to hire someone who knows a thing or two about being determined to win.

Who is better at that than Squid Game’s Cho Sang-woo? Yes, you read that right, Park Hae-soo, who played the role of Sang-woo on Netflix Original Squid Game will be Berlin in the Korean Version of the Spanish heist-drama.

The Money Heist YouTube channel released a short video announcing the casting of Park Hae-soo, and the actor had something to tell us and Pedro Alonso. First, he thanked his Spanish counterpart for sending him one of those signature Dali masks from Money Heist. He even confirmed that the Korean version of the show will have its own special masks, and we will get to see them in early 2022. He even promised to send one of those masks to Pedro.

Park Hae-soo’s message for the audience

The Squid Game actor said, “It is an honor for me to participate in such a wonderful series. And above all to make Berlin an amazing character.”

He assured fans that the entire cast of the Money Heist Korean Remake will feel the same. Just like us, Hae-soo is also a big fan of La Casa de Papel; he thanked the entire cast and crew of the Spanish drama for the show that they have created.
