The former President of the United States has now taken his seat from the Oval Office to behind the cameras, as he weaves in his drive for change and progress into heart-winning documentaries. But the wins go beyond bringing about a change in lives as it also garners Emmys.

The former President is nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Narrator for his Netflix show. But he is not the only one in the Obama household with an Emmy nomination this year. The former first lady is nominated in the outstanding hosted non-fiction series or special category, The Light We Carry: Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey.

As the Obamas look forward to adding another Emmy to their collection this year, it is impossible to overlook the absence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, another couple from the political realm that caused quite a wave with their Netflix docuseries.

This was quite jarring, even to those who do not like the couple, as it did maintain a top spot for months.
