Netflix, the enchanting realm of boundless fantasy, offers an abundance of choices across genres, yet its prowess in crafting compelling reality shows remains unparalleled. And Love Is Blind is proof of that. The OTT Mogul with this reality television show proved that not only can it stir up fantasy masterpieces that become the strongest contenders and even winners at the Oscars but also make entertaining reality shows that without a doubt will be remembered by pop culture.

After wreaking havoc with its first season in 2020, the dramatic reality show has returned with four spectacular seasons, each of which has secured the top spot on Netflix’s trending list for months. And Season 5 seems to be on the same route.

Love is Blind left viewers hopelessly hooked from the very first episode with its fresh concept of quite literally putting pairs in ‘pods’. Season after season, the show has managed to keep the intrigue alive. It is not so much the couples that make it to the end, but the dynamic between different participants that has everyone glued. And as it unleashed the Love is Blind Season 5 trailer with a promise of more dramatization, fans left everything to tune in for its premiere on the 22nd of September.

After an hour-long delay, the show returned with its hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey and a new set of “hopeful” singles. However, the Season 5 participants are not just hopeful but also smart, picky, hilarious, and pleasantly dramatic. Netflix has released four episodes of the season while keeping the two finale episodes in its vault.

While the Love is Blind Season 5 finale will not be releasing until the 29th of September, fans have already chosen not only their bias but also the participants that they would not want to cross on a good day.

Fans react to the fifth season of Netflix’s top reality show

Netflix has followed its tried and tested trick of making fans wait a while till they drop the finale episodes. This has flared especially well for Love Is Blind Season 5, whose contestants seem to have already shown their true colors. And while fans have contrasting views, they seem to have found common ground in hating Uche and Lydia.

In Season 5 of Love Is Blind, one of the participants, Uche Okoroha, portrayed himself as the ambassador of all things truth and honesty. However, for all his talk about honesty, he conveniently forgot to tell his love interest and potential partner that one of his participants is his ex. To further enrage fans, his ex-partner, Lydia Velez Gonzalez, too keeps their relationship under the covers while her friend cries to her about Uche Okoroha.

While Season 5 is yet to give fans a couple they can root for, the most popular couple from Love is Blind Season 4, Jackie Bonds and Josh Demas, have announced their split. And although they have not appeared in Season 5, their split seems to have had a huge impact on fans.
