Nerd Dream Alert! Henry Cavill to Bring Another Fan Favorite Game to the Big Screen After ‘The Witcher’
Henry Cavill has always been extremely and passionately vocal about his love for video games. Apart from being a talented actor, Cavill is also an avid video game player. After bringing life to his favorite game, The Witcher via Netflix, the British actor once again might bring life to another fan-favorite video game.
It is not a new piece of news that the 39-year-old actor is the star and executive producer of Amazon Studios’ upcoming live-action adaptation of Warhammer 40,000. And now, as Giant Freakin Robot reported, he is in talks to play one of the heroes from the fan-favorite game Call of Duty in the live-action adaptation by Amazon Studios.

The Studios is currently working to get the rights to the film. Once they lock the rights, the Cavill fandom might see him in another game series. Reportedly, he would portray Captain John Prince, who was one of the earliest heroes. Call of Duty is one of the most famous games. The character that the Enola Holmes star might play came in 2003 in the WW2 settings of the game.
He did not just fight the Axis Power, but the new version of him was more active in the contemporary period. In 2007, the franchise created a new version of the character. If The Tudors star would get the role, he might face more modern enemies as well.
Did you know, the Man of Steel actor almost lost his casting in Snyder’s Justice League because he was playing a video game when the director called? However, ultimately he got the role and now, people know him as Superman. Although the actor will not be reprising his iconic role anymore, what does Cavill’s future look like?

Despite getting a sudden exit from the DC Universe, and The Witcher world, Cavill landed some big projects. Arguably the most-awaited franchise starring the former Superman, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is getting a sequel. Moreover, after attending the premiere of the Avatar film, the actor also got an offer to join the franchise, and he confirmed it, too.
Apart from these films, Cavill has also landed two war movies that would give him the opportunity to play Bond-like characters. These movies are Argylle and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
