Since he left the iconic show, The Witcher and the DC Universe, his fans were waiting for him to come back with a bang. We have a piece of great news for his fans, then. The actor is returning as Napoleon Solo from the 2015 film.
After the Superman fiasco, The Witcher actor joined Amazon Studios for the live-action adaptation of the Warhammer 40,000 game. Although his fans wanted to see their favorite actor as Superman as well, James Gunn axed the Man of Steel, too. However, the 39-year-old knows how to make a comeback. The best movie franchise is returning to bring Cavill back in his Bond-like character.
Henry Cavill returns to the much-awaited movie sequel
Although the film didn’t do well at the Box Office, The Man from U.N.C.L.E made Cavill a star. As the actor gained much popularity after the film, because of the poor Box Office collection, the filmmakers didn’t consider making a sequel to it. But now that the English actor has left two major franchises, Guy Ritchie is going to bring back Napoleon Solo, reported by GIANT FREAKIN ROBOT.
However, the writer and director of the film, Guy Ritchie, will have to recast Solo’s partner, Illya Kuryakin. The actor, Armie Hammer, who portrayed the character will not return because of his legal issues. While The Danish Girl star, Alicia Vikander, might also return to reprise her role in the sequel.
Well, at the end of the first film, we saw the agents celebrating the success of their mission and ready to go on another one. While we never saw what would have happened then, after all these years, we will finally get to see the adventurous journey of those agents with probably some new faces.
This film might create Cavill’s image as James Bond accurately. However, a source reported Aaron Taylor-Johnson was in the final talks with the Bond franchise. But unless there is an official announcement, The Tudors actor has a chance to be 007.
