Although the Austrian bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger is known by multiple names in the industry, the actor Schwarzenegger is probably the most beloved of all. The shift of his passion from fitness and bodybuilding to acting as a Hollywood giant has been quite adventurous. However only he knows how his bodybuilding career has helped him flourish in the film industry as well. 

In 1982, the star was offered what is called one of his best roles of all time, Conan the Barbarian. Speaking to GQ in an interview in 2020  about the same, Schwarzenegger narrated his experience of sealing the deal with the directors. While talking about all of his top-tier movie roles, Arnold Schwarzenegger shared that he never hoped for big Hollywood projects due to his accent and physique. 

Nonetheless, it was his unusual accent and his body physique alone which got him into a movie called Conan the Barbarian. The 1982 adventurous thriller “accepted his accent” as the star recalled and got him a chance to play a prehistoric action hero “with huge muscles, very defined and ripped.” “Never listen to the naysayers and always plow ahead,” he said what he said. And his career as an actor just flourishing to this date. 

All of his weaknesses that had kept him away from the screen had finally turned into an asset rather than a liability. He thereby proved to the world that we should never be listening to what others think of us. Arnold Schwarzenegger with his odds left a mark in the film industry which hardly had any hope in him.
