One of the biggest public figures in the world, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away on September 8 in the morning. She was in Balmoral, her Scottish estate, with her family and died peacefully at the age of 96. The news of her demise has left the world in mourning. The Queen lived a full life, and it’s best to remember her for all the good things. And that is exactly what British actress Millie Bobby Brown did.

Queen Elizabeth ascended the throne in 1952, making her the longest-serving monarch of the United Kingdom, with her reign lasting 70 years. Every public figure, including several Hollywood celebrities, took the time and pay tribute to her. Joining the world in paying tribute to the late monarch, our very own Millie Bobby Brown also uploaded a heartwarming post on her Instagram. The Stranger Things actress posted an old yet beautiful picture of Queen Elizabeth II from her youth against the backdrop of picturesque scenery surrounded by colorful flowers.

And what better way to express bereavement than to fondly remember an old quote from the Queen? Millie cited an excerpt from Queen Elizabeth’s speech back in 1947.I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.” Just 21 at the time, this was the Queen’s first ever speech. Brown also added, “May she rest peacefully,” along with a heart emoticon.
