Millie Bobby Brown Shares a 75-Years-Old Excerpt From Queen Elizabeth’s Speech Mourning the Loss of the British Monarch

The Stranger Things actress posted an old yet beautiful picture of Queen Elizabeth II from her youth against the backdrop of picturesque scenery surrounded by colorful flowers.

And what better way to express bereavement than to fondly remember an old quote from the Queen? Millie cited an excerpt from Queen Elizabeth’s speech back in 1947. “I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.” Just 21 at the time, this was the Queen’s first ever speech. Brown also added, “May she rest peacefully,” along with a heart emoticon.
