The rejection from the HBO show shattered the actress
Just like any other person, she had to face hundreds of rejections to finally get the show that completely changed her life for good. Making an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Millie Bobby Brown candidly spoke about how her life was all about nos before Stranger Things.
The British actor made a shocking revelation about auditioning for the Game of Thrones. She got rejected and planned on quitting the industry. Auditioning for the Netflix thriller was her last resort, and the rest is history.
“I auditioned for Game of Thrones, and I got a ‘no’ for that. Then that’s kind of when I was like, ‘Oh, this is really difficult,’ because I guess I really wanted that role. So one of my last kind of gos at this was this Netflix show called Montauk.
“And I auditioned. And then, two months later, they got back to us. We then named the show Stranger Things, but Montauk was definitely the one that kind of gave me that hope of doing it all again,” Millie told Jimmy Fallon.

Notably, Millie wanted to play the role of Lyanna Mormont, the feisty member of House Mormont. Lyanna was one of the most admired characters in the Game of Thrones. She garnered huge love and became a fan favorite when she came out in support of King in the North, John Snow.
Understandably, Bella Ramsey was the one who was finally selected for the iconic character. The Worst Witch star featured in the series for three seasons, but her character finally ended in the eighth part.
