Marvel has announced a move to shock Deadpool fans. Just recently, the excitement for Deadpool 3 grew as the comeback of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine was announced through a video featuring him and Ryan Reynolds. This made the long wait for the release worthwhile. But the latest announcement will test the fans’ patience further.

Disney is said to have shaken up the entire calendar, leading to a domino effect. In fact, several other films are set to be affected due to one movie’s schedule disruption. But how exactly will it affect the third film featuring fun superhero Deadpool? What led them to take this decision?

How Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 will be affected

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 release schedule will be affected. The initial release date was set for September 6, 2024, which is now being pushed to November 8 of the same year. This comes in as a result of the Mahershala Ali starrer Blade, causing him a lot of frustration as well. The vampire movie maker Bassam Tariq bid adieu to the project a couple of weeks after the announcement, and now, a hunt for his replacement is on, pushing the release date from September 6 to November 3 of 2024.

According to reports, movies affected by this change include Fantastic Four, which is being pushed directly to another year. Pushing the release date from Nov. 8, 2024, to Valentine’s Day release i.e., February 14, 2025. This could be needed, since casting for the four lead characters has not been finalized yet. Meanwhile, Avengers: Secret Wars has been moved from November 7, 2025, to the 1st of May 2026.

However, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will still have its release on 2nd May 2025, as decided. Disney’s biopic of Chevalier de Saint-Georges named Chevalier will now be released on April 7, 2023, while the latest on the Apes franchise, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, will now make it to the screens on May 24, 2024.
