Meghan Markle Wanted Posh Brit Show ‘Made in Chelsea’, Prince Harry Happened as Coincidence?
Having tied the knot in 2018, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are seemingly in a happy marriage for almost five years now. Fans know all about their fairytale-like love story and the grand day when Markle walked down the aisle at Windsor Castle, following their infamous Netflix docuseries. However, people do not know much about the former actress’s life before she became the wife of the Duke of Sussex.
There are some reports that portray her as a rising American starlet. Not a year after their royal marriage, Daily Mail reported how the Duchess of Sussex was navigating through the shallower part of the industry and perhaps her love life too. Just a few months before her newly sparked romance with the British Prince, Markle was apparently trying to find her way into the British industry, star in Made in Chelsea, and even make a Brit boyfriend.

Speaking about the same, television presenter Lissy Cundy had marked about her friend, “She told me she wanted to be on an English reality TV show and that she wanted an English boyfriend.” Soon after, she would pursue Ashley Cole, one of the stars of the show, but dropped the plan of dating him after finding out he was a cheat. She would then return to Canada to date a high-profile chef Cory Vitiello and make a huge social circle between 2014 and 2016. However, that did not hinder her aim to be on the big pages of Britain.
When Piers Morgan reportedly followed her on Twitter following her short-term link with Matt Cardle, she quickly followed the fashion icon back and started texting him. And in 2016, when the then-American actress made a trip to London once again, she would meet him and her former acquaintance Lissy Cundy. And while she approached him to get her into the show, a few hours after she met the royal Prince, and the rest is history…

According to the 2019 Daily Mail report, and her former friends, Markle apparently ghosted them all following her relationship with Prince Harry. Piers Morgan harshly stated in an interview that the Suits actress has been cozying up to people to reach where she aimed throughout her 20 years and now left them just like that as they were of no use. “I was literally ghosted by her,” Lissy Cundy said in another interview.
Furthermore, after three months of dating Prince Harry, she sent an email to her former agent, Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne, stating that she was quitting her life as an actress and moving on with the Prince of Britain.
