Meghan Markle to Be Honored by the Oldest Women’s Foundation in the United States
Meghan Markle did not get up on the stage to deliver an empowering speech on International Women’s Day this year. However, that in no way means that she has fallen in the ranks of an influential woman. The Duchess of Sussex very much remains a woman of power, confidence, and success. Be it writing a letter to shut down a sexist ad when she was a toddler or starting her royal duties with a project to support women, the former American actress has always worked towards the empowerment of women.
Not only did Markle work towards the betterment of women and their working conditions during her time as a royal, but she has always represented what it means to be a strong and confident woman. Markle is a stunning example that one does not need a title to validate their power. And to honor her strength and dedication to women’s empowerment, the United States’ oldest Women’s foundation will be presenting her with an award.

A break from the continuous streak of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry news in the royal realm is the anticipation surrounding King Charles’ coronation. And while the Duchess of Sussex may not be honored or even be present at the crowning ceremony, she will be taking home a reputed award from the oldest and most notable foundation dedicated to Women’s empowerment, Ms Foundation for Women. It was announced that Meghan Markle, along with LaTosha Brown, a pioneer of Black Votes Matter, will be receiving the Women of Vision Award on the 16th of May, a few days after King Charles’ coronation.
The award ceremony will be taking place in New York in the Ziegfeld Ballroom as the foundation will celebrate its 50th anniversary. To mark half of a century dedicated to the betterment of women’s rights, they will be honoring Meghan Markle for her accomplishments “on behalf of gender and racial equity.”
