Meghan Markle’s steps into the Royal family in 2018 were marked as the dawn of a more inclusive, gender-neutral, and empowering era. While she took a road not often taken, Meghan Markle did deliver the era to us in one way or another. Not only did she voice some of the most empowering speeches in the past years, but she also pushed boundaries as a female in the Royal family.
From being abysmally deemed the puppeteer who drove Prince Harry away from his family to being applauded for becoming the first ever to expose the shortcomings of the Royal family, Meghan Markle served as a mirror to the power of a female. In such cases, netizens are always curious to see what Meghan Markle’s cooking on women’s day.
What did Meghan Markle do on Women’s Day?
Unlikely to be curated by Meghan Markle but the couple’s Archewell website posted an empowering message on International Women’s Day to “help woman in your community” through “time or funds“. And Markle delivered both ways. The Duchess of Sussex, who now resides in California, made her way to Los Angeles where she treated the owners of a female-run restaurant to a meal. Furthermore, Markle also handcrafted a pop-up baby boutique along with others as reported by People. The actress-turned-royal also provided funds to Harvest Home charity.
happy international women's day! 💙

This is not the first time that the Duchess of Sussex has led through an example on Women’s Day. They have always worked towards empowering women. In fact, one of the first projects taken by Meghan Markle after becoming a royal was a cookbook to help women affected by the Grenville Tower fire.
The Duchess of Sussex: A Quintessential feminist
Donating to charities and giving empowering speeches counts as only a small part of the empowerment that Markle has displayed as a feminist. Long before the term ‘feminism’ and its meaning and scope became actively discussed, an eleven-year-old Markle recognized that being a female was in no way a restriction for her to be great. And she campaigned for it by raising her voice against a sexist commercial.
