Meghan Markle Once Celebrated Her Pregnancy With a Tattoo “For good luck”

The members of the royal family are not spared of their work commitments, not even during pregnancies. As we already have the Princess of Wales epitomizing the same, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle was no less. Although her days at the Palace were short-lived, she rendered all her duties as one of the then-senior members of the Monarchy. However, not everything was a monotonous royal visit to embark on.

Some engagements, in fact, gave Markle some beautiful memories during her first pregnancy. One such royal endorsement by the Sussexes was their visit to Morocco which was soon followed by a hectic visit to the Atlas Mountains. Nonetheless, the residents made the Duchess feel at home as they gave her and the Duke a heartwarming welcome amidst the snow-clad regions

As the little girls came to know about Markle’s pregnancy, they expressed their wish to celebrate it in their own traditional ways. Following the custom, they got the Duchess a beautifully designed henna tattoo as a good luck charm. The people at the Atlas go by the belief that making henna tattoos during pregnancy brings good luck to both the baby and the mother.

Markle who had put on a casual and comfortable outfit for the visit got the custom crafted beautifully on her left hand and wrist. As People Magazine reported, a housemother named khadeja Oukattou that, “It’s for when we have a big party.” “Now she is pregnant we do the henna to keep her happy,” the woman further added.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spent the first half morning visit with the young minds at Education for All. According to the royal website, it is an organization for underprivileged girls between the ages of 12-18 which provides them with sustainable help and development.

It is also to note that getting a henna tattoo during pregnancy is actually an accidental royal custom. A year prior to that Markle, even the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton also got the same when she was pregnant with her third, Prince Louis. It was reportedly on her trip to Sunderland, England.
