Season 2 of Love is Blind is back with all the drama inside and outside the pods. The total number of participants is 30: 15 men and 15 women. So, it’s pretty hard to follow everyone’s love journey in the show. While we are busy discussing Shayne, Shaina, and Natalie, we forgot there were two other engaged couples. But they didn’t even have time to feature their relationship in this experimental reality show.

In Love is Blind season 2, six couples left the pod for a luxurious honeymoon in Mexico after their engagement. But two other unlucky couples didn’t have time to celebrate their honeymoon in Mexico. Two couples who didn’t get a scene in the last episode are Kara Williams and Jason Beaumont, and Caitlin McKee and Joey Miller.

So, let’s find out what happened to these couples and why they didn’t make the cut.

Kara Williams and Jason Beaumont

Kara Willaims and Jason Beaumont found their connection in the pod. Kara was in the first episode. In the episode she expressed her insecurity over not being considered a wife material by men. On Instagram, Jason confirmed his relationship with her on January 16th. In the post he calls her “one of the most charismatic, loving, & supportive people [he’s] ever met.” Jason also explains that he had deep conversations with her in just 10 days which never even came up in his previous long-term relationships.

However, Jason and Kara broke up in Spring 2021, after leaving Love is Blind. But both the lovebirds claim that their relationship was hundred percent authentic.

Caitlin McKee and Joey Miller

Joey Miller and Caitlin McKee ended up falling in love with each other inside the pod. Both of them confirmed their relationship on Instagram in January 15th. Joey, who has silver hair, was excited to find his lover in the pod because it will be his first time where people don’t talk about his silver hair on the first date.

After their engagement in Spring 2021, Caitlin shared on Instagram, “had an amazing summer and fall [2021] with the opportunity to travel, meet each other’s families, and build a genuine relationship without the cameras and crew.” However, after a few months, the couple broke up but maintained their friendship.

Why were these two couples thrown out of Love is Blind season 2?

The creator of the show, Chris Coelen, said that he was also short on crew members that could cover the two couples. He explains, “You only have so many crews and so much budget and so much time. It would be amazing to follow everybody, but you just have to decide what feels like a good group to follow.”
