Even before Julia Garner stole our hearts as the ruthless Ruth Langmore in the hit Ozark series, she already had a great career. By the time she was just 19, Garner had worked with the likes of Emma Watson and David Chase. Julia has certainly come a long way since her debut at the young age of 16. Today the two Primetime Emmy Awards-winning actress has created a niche for herself in the industry. And her portrayal of Ruth shall go down in history as the actress’ most iconic character.

Very few actors have had the career Julia had by the time she was 19. She had already appeared in films like The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Not Fade Away. But her most prominent role came in the form of the 2013s Electrick Children. In the film, Julia plays Rachel, a young girl whose brother gets falsely accused of impregnating her.
The movie marked the first time the world witnessed the power of Julia. Her performance in the film is second to no one. And can even be considered the one highlight of the film. In an old interview, while talking about the film and the number of kissing scenes in it, Julia shared her views on on-screen kissing.
Julia said that kissing on set is definitely “weird” as there are many cameras directly pointed at you coming from multiple angles. However, after you get used to it, it is like a “kind of joke.” Since the time of the interview, Julia has grown a lot as an actor and has done more challenging roles.
