The coming-of-age drama, On My Block, premiered on Netflix 16th March 2018. Four long years later, the beloved Netflix teen show came to an end. It turns out we are not the only ones missing the show and its characters. Jessica Marie Garcia, who essayed Jasmin on the show, is also equally feeling the void that has been left by the show. She shared a heartfelt message on her Twitter handle, sending her love to her character, the cast, and the show. 

She also attached a little farewell video shared after the finale of the show. Jessica is a softie, she visibly gets teared up after Oscar Diaz reads his farewell letter in the video. With a shaking voice, Jessica reads her letter where she mentions how she would miss the On My Block family dearly. She says she would miss her arguments with Jamal, deep conversations with Monse, and shaking a leg with Ruby. It is evident that they are like siblings since they were all in attendance at Jessica’s wedding! But Jason Genao is there to lighten the mood with his deadpan dejected reply, “Well, now I need a pen.” 

The On My Block star on Netflix is the newest mommy on the block

While she celebrates the anniversary of her show’s premier, on personal front, she is also celebrating motherhood. Jessica Marie Garcia recently became a mommy! She welcomed her first baby daughter, Selena Grey, on Feb 4 with her husband Adam Celorier. The 34-year-old actress shared these sweet moments with her fans on her Instagram. 

The caption read: “2.4.22 💕 the love of my life was born. 🍼 Selena Grey you have no idea how much you are loved. After five trying days of induction you came into this world with a bang and it’s already become a better place with you in it. 💝.” She also shared another video clip, where she is dancing to Kool & the Gang’s “Celebration”. 

Selena had previously disclosed her pregnancy news back in November 2021. She had shared her excitement at stepping into motherhood. “I’m going to be a mommy! Feels so good to finally tell the world our beautiful little secret. My husband Adam and I are expecting our first child in February of 2022!” she had quipped.
