Jerry Lorenzo Gets Honest About Kanye West’s Controversial Exit from Adidas
While Adidas had its own good reason for drifting from Kanye West, a few still miss his absence. The Gold Digger singer became the expectation becoming the first nonsports person to collaborate with a fashion sports brand successfully. While being known as a rapper, the rapper interned for Fendi back in Rome with their late friend Virgil Abloh.
He enjoyed his collaboration with Adidas, which made millions of dollars for him and the company. The sports fashion brand recently decided to end its partnership with the designer. Jerry Lorenzo, the Global Head of Adidas, recently took to social media to say how he missed Ye and Abloh.

Jerry Lorenzo of Adidas was quick to delete a post that revealed how he misses Kanye West
Kanye West has definitely left big shoes to fill with his exit from Adidas. But the brand’s global head seems to miss Ye. As per HipHopWired, the rapper took to social media and wrote, “YE… adi ain’t the same without you. miss my dudes.” He also wrote how Paris Fashion Week is not the same without Virgil Abloh. However, the post was quickly deleted after posting, but not before garnering 20,000 likes and more than 200 comments. There is a good reason why he could have deleted the post.

By deleting the post, he avoided seeming to agree with West’s views. Almost all of Ye’s supporters in the industry distanced themselves from him after his repeated anti-semitic comments. Instead of apologizing, he doubled down on his views by praising Hitler for his success with the Nazi party. The Donda singer even made comments on Black Civil Rights activist Rosa Parks. He has enjoyed his free speech, with everyone turning their head whenever the rapper made a controversial comment. But being a German brand, Adidas could not overlook this.

Along with Adidas, his partnership with GAP and Balenciaga also ended. Lorenzo himself is known to have made comments on the banning of gay marriages as well as abortion.
