In 1997, American theaters saw a young girl portraying a character of a singer named Selena Quintanilla. The name of the film was Selena which was based on the real story of the singer herself. The featured lead actress was none other than Jennifer Lopez. In March 2022, the film completed 25 years. Recently, after 25 years of the film, the 53-year-old singer and actress paid tribute to the late singer by wearing a T-shirt with the image of Selena.

When Lopez starred in the biopic, Selena, she was just 28. The film follows the story of Selena Perez, who is a popular Tejano music star. She is catapulted to the pinnacle of fame through her music and dies a tragic death at the young age of 23 after she is shot by the president of her fan club. The On the Floor singer received wide appreciation for her faithful portrayal of the singer. Recently, Lopez appeared wearing a T-shirt with an image of Selena.

When Lopez went out with her family, she was spotted wearing floral pants, gray boots, and sunglasses. All these things got a huge highlight by her T-shirt with the picture of Selena Quintanilla. The singer was out shopping at Cost Plus World Market with her daughter, Emme, 14. Her sister, Lynda Lopez, and niece, Lucie were also there with the singer. However, before wearing the T-shirt publically, she flaunted her Christmas gifts on the latest edition of “On The JLo”. Amongst other things, there were some music T-shirts that Selena’s family gifted the Loving You singer. She even posted on her Instagram a thank you note to the family. As she promised in her post, she rocked the T-shirt on her latest shopping hunt. Also, the singer remembered Selena and said she was a big part of her life.
