Today’s generation is probably too young to remember the 90s when Will Smith was young and was reigning supreme. His carefree rapping personality was reflected in his dressing sense, especially in the 90s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The man still dresses to the nines when required, but has toned down his experiments with his outfits over the years. But as they say, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. His son Jaden Smith has an equally great sense of fashion and is the current generation’s trendsetter. The 24-year-old rapper was recently spotted at the Paris Fashion Week. He was rocking an ensemble that was clearly inspired by his dad’s 90s fits!

Jaden Smith appeared at the French Capital’s Musee d’Orsay to enjoy the Louis Vuitton show on Monday. The rapper’s apparel in a coordinated set stunned the onlookers according to GEO TV. The young Smith sported black chunky boots and matching checkered pants and cropped blazer. His hair was styled in dreadlocks and he was carrying a house-shaped bag that added a touch of quirkiness to the outfit.

But Jaden was not the first to don a crop top. His dad did it first in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Jaden’s look certainly turned heads as he accompanied other A-Listers to enjoy the show from the front row front seat. However, this is not the first time that he has drawn the attention of the fans for channeling his father’s fashion sense.

Jaden donned the iconic Will Smith sunflower headpiece

 He was papped wearing a sunflower headpiece to Stella McCartney’s show in February. Jaden got the idea from the one episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air where his dad turned into a sunflower. He thought it was a brilliant way to turn humans into plants and connect with nature. In fact, his father’s fits in the American sitcom is the direct inspiration for his clothing line, MSFTSrep. Through his clothing line, he wants his fans to embrace their weirdness and eccentricity. 

While Jaden continues to take bold steps in the fashion industry, his dad, Will Smith, on the other hand, is working hard to make a comeback.
