There are thousands of great specials on Netflix, from comedians ranging from Hasan Minhaj to Ali Wong. But what Catherine Cohen has done is really exclusive and sets her apart from the rest. Her combination of comedy and cabaret is something that only she does. And in her new Netflix Special, Catherine Cohen does again!

Her newest special is coming exclusively on Netflix, and it looks pretty great.

Just before her new special, The Twist…? She’s Gorgeous lands on Netflix, Catherine was seen talking about the special in an interview. Catherine first wrote the show in 2015.

So now that after almost seven years, the show will finally be available on a streaming website. She was talking about how it felt. Catherine said, “It’s been a journey, a labor of love.” 

While talking about how the show took its final form, she said that she kept adding things to the show throughout the years. “I added a few post-pandemic shout-outs to keep it timely, if you will,” the comedian said about keeping the show relevant after the unfortunate global pandemic.

In the new show, Catherine will be seen making a lot of fun and jokes about herself and her habit of oversharing. On the topic, Cohen said, “I have to make fun of everything that I love. It’s very therapeutic. If you can’t laugh at yourself, then no one else is going to laugh at you, either.”

The live performer loves to perform in front of a live audience. Nowadays, she can be seen performing at Alan Cumming’s club in the East Village, called Club Cumming. She performs there every Wednesday and loves it!

What is the special about and when is it releasing?

The new hour-long special, The Twist…? She’s Gorgeous, is filled with music, laughter, and fun. It begins with Catherine in front of a mirror wrapped in a fluffy, pink robe, sporting her signature cat eyeliner. While laughing, she says, “I feel completely insane, but I look literally stunning.”
