Known popularly by his stage name, The Fresh Prince, Smith has received four Grammy Music Awards for his rap tracks. The Bad Boys franchise that started in 1995 definitely escalated Will Smith’s rise to stardom. He soon came to be hailed as Mr. July with each of his movies becoming a blockbuster success. A huge trait that plays in his favor is his humble nature, something he displayed after winning a Grammy.

Will Smith remains forever humble

Fame definitely does not take time to get to a person’s head. But despite his monumental success, Will Smith has never once let fame get to his head. Around the time that Enemy of State was released, Smith was at the height of his stardom. For decades he ruled over the box office rating like no one else could.

In an interview with Jimmy Carter, the Oscar-winning actor opened up about how his success affects him. Will Smith was asked if he was full of self-confidence given the onslaught of success. The actor said ”It’s 100% self-doubt” when it comes to his career. Looks like the Men In Black actor read the saying ”The higher you climb, the harder you fall” one too many times.

Smith also talked about how he makes sure that each move is the right move. He credits the people who have stuck around him for a long time for not letting the fame get to his head. He calls them intelligent and reliable. Despite there being plenty of noise about how good he is, he pays attention to the remarks he gets from the people close to him. Given that they have been on this journey with him since Philadelphia, they know when to step in.

The actor further revealed that behind every move he makes there have been hours of conceptualization on the actor and his team’s behalf. This is how Will Smith has had three successful decades in the movie industry and likely more to come.
