“It just felt so comfortable”- Archie’s Ex-nanny Opens up About Time Spent With Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Despite their efforts to prove otherwise, the debate around Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is swiftly shifting more towards the narrative that the two of them are airing their dirty laundry in public. From royal experts debunking every move made by the Sussexes to the Sussexes themselves adding more information to solidify their claims of injustices imposed on them by the Royal family, the polarizing opinions are, in fact, responsible for the shock wave that has engulfed the entire world.

Nonetheless, the media nor the monarchy stopped Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from telling “their truth” in the Netflix documentary titled Harry & Meghan. And accompanying them on this powerful journey were some people who the couple held very near and dear to their hearts. While this list of close friends consisted of multi-million dollar names such as that Tyler Perry and Abigail Spencer, it also had a certain Lorren Khumalo from Zimbabwe, a nanny turned caretaker for the Sussex family.

Archie Harrison’s ex-nanny talks about meeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Contrary to the family that dominates his lineage, Prince Harry does not inherit the stiff upper lip, as it has become clear after his loose mouth in both the Netflix documentary and his memoir. Apart from that, the ginger Prince has always seemed more approachable owing to his fun-loving nature. But this thought was not entertained by Lorren Khumalo when she first visited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for her job interview.

In an episode with The Breakfast Club with Zenzele Ndebele, the consultant reveals that she was at her wit’s end trying to figure out how to dress and act when meeting the royals. However, none of the thousand retakes of curtsy she did came in handy as  “he opened his arms and said, ‘Hello Lorren!’,” Khumalo reveals.

Lorren Khumalo was Archie’s nanny before the couple decided to exit the royal family and move to the United States. The consultant appeared in the fourth episode of the Harry & Meghan Netflix documentary and described how different the couple was from what she expected them to be.

Lorren Khumalo described her routine as Archie’s nanny as something like this: “In the morning when [Archie] woke up, first thing, mum and dad would come in. They would be with their baby. She would feed him. And then after that.” Later, the ex-nanny was greeted with an emotional message by Meghan Markle, who said, “She just took care of, not just Archie, but she took care of us. She definitely took care of me.”
