Who can forget Oswald Mosley, one of the main antagonists of the British gangster series Peaky Blinders? Actor Sam Claflin hit the nail on the head, portraying the villainous fascist with a silver tongue. Consequently, he was probably the only villain to span two seasons in the crime drama. With a wide variety of successful projects in his arsenal, the English actor is also memorable as Mycroft in the film Enola Holmes.

After the success of the quirky yet amusing film, Enola Holmes, the mystery flick starring Millie Bobby Brown, and Henry Cavill, is all geared up for a sequel. The first look of the film is all over the internet and sees many of the former characters return to Enola Holmes 2. Let’s find out if Sam Claflin will embody the older Holmes sibling again in the upcoming sequel.

Will Sam Claflin make a comeback as Mycroft?

Netflix recently announced the release date for the much-awaited Enola Holmes sequel based on Nancy Springer’s books of the same name. The streaming goliath also released pictures from the sets, revealing the beloved characters all set for their return to the oddball mystery. The first look confirms the actor Louis Partridge and veteran Helena Bonham Carter, reprising their role as Tewkesbury and mama Holmes, respectively.

Henry Cavill is also set to embody the detective extraordinaire, Sherlock Holmes, and might just solve a case with his sister Enola (Brown). However, there was absolutely no sign of the third and eldest Holmes sibling, Mycroft. Moreover, he is even absent from all the cast lists available online for the upcoming film. Unless there is a major reveal in the official trailer for the film, it is safe to assume that Sam Claflin is not a part of Enola Holmes 2 

The Holmes Siblings are Netflix royalty

It is delightful that all the three Holmes siblings from Enola Holmes play major roles in other shows reigning on the Netflix roster. Millie Bobby Brown, Enola Holmes herself, plays the telekinetic teen Eleven on streamer’s flagship show Stranger Things. While Henry Cavill portrays the titular Geralt in the period fantasy The Witcher, Sam Claflin is Oswald Mosley of Peaky Blinders. 

While it would be great to see the three British actors come together as siblings yet again, the film is already set in motion. One can only hope that there is a fun surprise for the audience in the form of Sam Claflin. Enola Holmes 2 will premiere worldwide on November 4, 2022. In the meantime, one can always re-watch the first part and refresh their memory.
