India Amarteifio Reveals How the ‘Bridgerton’ Spinoff Will Be a Game-Changer for Diverse Cultures
Stepping into the titular role of a series, especially for a young actor, seems quite demanding. At the same time, this challenge becomes invincible when the character was previously portrayed by Golda Rosheuvel. But from what fans have come across on social media, it appears India Amarteifio is the best contender to match the energy of this powerful figure. The actress will soon introduce viewers to the younger version of the queen consort of the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, ahead of the release of this hotly-anticipated prequel, the English star has something special to say about it.
In the latest issue of Radio Times magazine, India Amarteifio confessed her feeling about period dramas. The 21-year-old revealed that she never used to watch historical shows because they only presented white people. Being a mix-raced individual herself she never felt connected to it. “My family looks like lots of different people. I didn’t see myself represented so I didn’t ever feel a need to watch them,” Amarteifio told Radio Times.
