Throwback to When Arnold Schwarzenegger set up Sylvester Stallone for a flop film
As we all know, it is extremely difficult to carve a niche out for oneself in the film industry. While we have seen various great actors in Hollywood, there are a few who are a class apart. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone are two of the greatest actors from the 1980s and 90s. The duo took the action genre films to another level. However as we all know Arnold and Stallone shared a rocky relationship back in the day.
Over the years, we have seen various rivalries in Hollywood. The film industry is very competitive and everyone wants to be the best. Likewise, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone had an epic rivalry during the 1980s and 90s. However unlike other rivalries, do you know that Arnold once tricked Stallone into doing a flop film?

When Arnold Schwarzenegger got a one up over Sylvester Stallone
Back in the ’80s both Arnold and Stallone were on the path to becoming the best there is. However, the duo had a fallout owing to an argument 1977 Golden Globe awards that began an epic rivalry. As the duo competed for box office dominance, Stallone, unfortunately, gave a flop comedy film, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot in 1994. On the other hand, Schwarzenegger gave various comedic successes through Twins and Kindergarten Cop.
Previously, in an interview, Stallone gave a number of reasons behind the movie’s failure. Interestingly, while the Rambo star avoided taking names, he revealed that he heard Arnold was going to do the film. So to get a one-up over him Stallone agreed to do the film. Sadly, it did not go as Stallone planned.

The Rocky star added that he thought Arnold had set him up and interestingly the Terminator star confirmed it. Arnold wrote, “It’s 100 percent true. In those days we did all kinds of crazy things to get ahead in our rivalry.”
