If Joe Goldberg Targets Taylor Swift, Penn Badgley Tells What Would Happen
Penn Badgley established a complete game-changer genre when he made the world fall in love with Joe Goldberg from You. The fourth season of the show came out recently and made the audience fall in love with the “girlfriend killer” all over again. But did you know that our killer anti-hero might target Taylor Swift as his next prey?
As he used Swift’s song for his TikTok debut, it was natural for the question “what if Taylor Swift were the next target of Joe Goldberg” to come up. Being completely sunk into his character, Badgley answered Variety, “I think, unfortunately, he would despise her, because she’s successful and blond, maybe? I don’t know, but I think he would.”
Apparently, it has been a pattern for Joe to kill women or people he thinks are too clever and might be a thorn in one’s side. Plus, Swift is one huge success icon that anybody, especially someone like Joe, might be jealous of. Hence, his despising of the ‘Love Story’ singer is totally natural.

Penn Badgley uses a Taylor Swift song to make his TikTok debut
Badgley made his TikTok debut by creating a subtly comic video on the famous song of the Grammy Award-winning singer that came out around that time. And when he heard it, he knew in his mind that this song was “the one.” In other words, it won’t be wrong to say that the You actor has “Swiftly” joined TikTok.

The 36-year-old actor was waiting for one such song to come out that defines the most iconic role he has played in his career. And as soon as the 33-year-old singer released it, Badgley saw the golden opportunity to have a perfect debut on the app.
In TikTok, he is running toward the door in order to find who is on the other side. Turns out, it is his character Joe Goldberg from You in his signature baseball cap singing the hook line of Swift’s song, “It’s me, I am the problem it’s me.”
