You: Synopsis, Cast, Trailers, Awards, Release Dates

You is an American crime psychological thriller drama. It is developed by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble and produced by Warner Horizon Television, in association with Alloy Entertainment and A&E Studios.

The first season is based on a 2014 book of the same name written by Caroline Kepnes. The second season is sparingly adopted from another novel by Caroline Kepnes, Hidden Bodies, which is a sequel to You.

You Netflix

The series premiered on Lifetime in the US on September 9, 2018, and internationally on Netflix on December 26, 2018. Netflix acquired the exclusive streaming rights of the second season and made the title a Netflix Original.

You Synopsis

When a brilliant bookstore manager, Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), comes across an aspiring writer, he forms an unusual attraction towards her. It soon becomes an obsession. Using the Internet and social media, he quietly stalks and gathers intimate details about her to get close. He strategically plots and removes any obstacle or person on his way.

Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), a literary graduate student and aspiring writer, was his objective in Season 1, while chef Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) was his target in Season 2. Each season’s plot revolves around Joe’s relationship with his target and her different friends and acquaintances.

You Season 3 Release

You Season 3 will premiere this fall on October 15, 2021.

Teaser of Season 3

The teaser is not available yet. However, the release date announcement video is creepy and sinister. It shows the making of a white cake with red icing for welcoming the baby. There is a voice-over of Penn Badgley’s murderous stalker, Joe Goldberg. He is addressing his unborn child, which was revealed at the end of season 2. He names him Henry. He is off-screen, but his hands are visible, slicing a cake with a large, intimidating knife dripping with vivid red icing.

What to expect from You Season 3

Per Netflix’s official synopsis for Season 3, Joe and Love, now married and raising their baby, have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers, and Insta-famous biohackers. Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness. And then there’s his heart. Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door? Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing. But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks? Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape.”

You Cast

The cast of You includes Penn Badgley, Victoria Pedretti, Elizabeth Lail, Shay Mitchell, Jenna Ortega, James Scully, Ambyr Childers, Carmela Zumbado, Saffron Burrows, Tati Gabrielle, Dylan Arnold, Shalita Grant, Travis Van Winkle, Scott Speedman, John Stamos, Luca Padovan, and Zach Cherry
