A prequel series based on R.R. Tolkein’s The Lord of the Rings was released recently. While The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power gained much fan love, not everyone is pleased, some fans have been criticizing the makers and pulled in Neil Gaiman into the discussion about ruining The Lord of The Rings series. This was following the clap-back he gave to Elon Musk’s tweet. But Gaiman has responded to these criticisms with his sarcastic sense of humor thrown in with an announcement.
The Lord of the Rings has been a beloved periodic fantasy movie series. So fans are super protective about both the book, the movie, and any adaptation coming out of it. And vocal, if displeased with any remake of the movie. It has become one of the most viewed shows on Amazon Prime. And Neil who loves a good fantasy project has been defending the series against criticism. Let’s see how.

Neil Gaiman apologizes to an upset The Lord of The Rings fan
In an angry tweet, The Lord of The Rings fan criticized the record-breaking new series, The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power. The series cost $1 billion to produce. It has only released two episodes so far and is based on events before the original series. But not everyone is happy with it. A fan bashed Gaiman for disrespecting the source material (the LoR books) and letting fans down with the series. To remind you, Neil isn’t part of the project and roped into this discussion through a fan tweet. Regardless, The Sandman creator apologized for making the new show.
I'm so sorry. I have taken your hurt to heart and promise that I will no longer make any Lord of the Rings based television for any network ever. https://t.co/pZrFFuwjHh

Come to think of it, I wasn’t a fan of how that book ended, either. Is that Neil’s fault too?

The fan’s tweet was a reply to The Sandman writer’s response to Elon Musk’s criticism. This sure proves that Twitter has remained a source for some quality level of feud and content, especially with Neil Gaiman’s cut-throat replies.
