She woke up at 4 am to pack on layers on top of her face to hide the void deep down or impress a certain Nate Jacobs if we are being superficial. As if addicted to the applause. In a generation highly influenced by social media and its unattainable beauty standards, Cassie’s character morphed into the comfortable hug many needed. But the viewers were not the only ones that the series had touched. The actress also developed a similar coping mechanism earlier in her life before she could bring Cassie to life.
How Sydney Sweeney experienced Cassie even before Euphoria?
Euphoria was only released in 2019, but Syndey Sweeney’s commercial acclaim was long coming. The actress had always played each of her roles with godly devotion. While the primary reason was to achieve her dream, another reason, as the actress reveals in her Cosmopolitan interview, was to get her family together.
Sweeney belonged to the quiet city of Spokane before her family moved to Los Angeles to help her flourish as an actor. While having encouraging parents seems like the dream picture, the actress revealed how it landed them completely broke. Both financially and emotionally.

The rough route being the history of alcoholism in her family. While she strayed from doing alcohol, the actress confessed how she was addicted to any consolation and love she received. Synonymous with Cassie in Euphoria. “I would run into the arms of guys to try to fill this void… I was looking for love to replace the emptiness of a home,” Sweeney says. The actress has come a long way since then, owning the centrepiece of many hearts and thriving all by herself.
