Lil Nas X is one of those few musicians in the industry whose journey to fame was a rocket ride. The Montero singer instantly garnered popularity with the release of his country rap single Old Town Road. His first song was wildly viral on the internet earning him over ten million certified units in streaming and sales in 2019. The Georgia-born star also became diamond certified singer the very same year of the release.

The success of his debut single opened the gates of opportunities for the rapper and soon he became the most-nominated male artist at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. Also, he is the only LGBT Black artist in history to win a Country Music Association award. Not to forget, he even got the chance to collaborate with Ye on the smash hit Industrial Baby. Even he once picked his side in the famous Kanye West vs Drake debate.

Lil Nas X once chose the best artist between Kanye West and Drake 

Last year, Lil Nas X sat down with Power Middays host Bryhana for a few rapid round questions. In the session, he was asked to choose the best artist between the controversial king and RIAA-certified Drake.

In his response, the young superstar gave his honest opinion and said, “I want to be honest. … I feel like Kanye is the more creative artist.”

He continued that he listen more to the Thank Me Later singer, but he still chose the Praise God singer. The rapper looked hesitant to answer since he admires both artists and they both are incredible. While there is no doubt that the singer deeply admires Ye and has mentioned in his interviews that working with West was a dream come true for him.

Meanwhile, the Grammy winner has been stepped into controversies in recent years just like his idol West. After coming out as gay, he was targeted by people and his fellow celebrities. In addition to the list, the Lil Nas X recently revealed that he has a son whom he will no longer hide from the world. Although the photo he shared on social media was of his nephew which left fans confused.
