Meghan Markle often finds herself at the receiving end of criticism and trolling. The monarchists and crown servants mercilessly bashed the former American actress for purposely creating a wedge between Prince Harry and the royal family. In less than two years of their marriage, Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step down from their royal duties and relocate to California for private and peaceful life. 

The decision did not go well with the Britain public and they slammed Meghan for polluting the mind of the royal prince. Not only that, but they also accused her of defaming the House of Windsor with racist allegations. Meanwhile, it might surprise you that Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, also harbors the same view. 

Thomas Markle denies believing the suicide story by Meghan Markle

In a controversial interview in April 2022, Thomas Markle claimed that Meghan Markle was the one responsible for causing a rift in the royal family. In the 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan and Harry labeled unjust treatment by the royal family as the reason behind leaving the United Kingdom. 

The Sussexes further made serious revelations about certain members of the family passing racist remarks on the former actress and their firstborn Archie. Moreover, the Suits alum admitted to thinking about suicide while pregnant with Archie. Reflecting on the entire fiasco, Thomas claimed that these are cooked-up stories by the Duke and Duchess. 

“I do not know why, but I think she had something to do with him moving out or taking her away. The story was that he was taking her away from things that were upsetting her. I don’t buy that story. The suicide story and so forth I don’t buy that law,” Thomas said in an interview with GB News. 

Notably, Meghan and her father do not share a cordial relationship. Thomas did not attend the royal wedding, and it was King Charles III who walked the actress down the aisle. Also, the retired director of photography is yet to meet his two royal grandchildren.
