Among the celebrities who have reached unfathomable heights of popularity and success at a young age, Billie Eilish defies the brightest. At just the age of sixteen, the American singer managed to top 15 charts worldwide with Don’t Smile at Me. Then came her first-ever studio album When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? which consisted of Bad Guy which can rightfully be called the theme song of 2019.
Eilish has gained popularity not just for her music but also for her fashion and activism online. Many may not know but Billie Eilish is not a complete outsider to the showbiz world. The Bad Guy singer is the daughter of actress Maggie Baird and actor Patrick O’Connell. Given the facts, Billie Eilish has had an interesting time growing up.

What does Billie Eilish think of growing up?
When Eilish sang “Careful creature made friends with time, He left her lonely with a diamond mind” in Ocean Eyes with her deep voice, the mind-blown audience did not expect her to be fourteen. After the release of her commercially successful When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? the album, Vanity fair called the now 20-year-old singer to have a candid interview with them each year.
The first interview was taken in 2017. It is crazy to see how much she has grown not just in age but also in caliber. From not being able to walk out because she felt like she had too many eyes on her to finally being comfortable with fame and enjoying it.

In the fifth year of these interviews, Billie Eilish was asked if she thinks she is fully grown up. This is a tricky question to ask a 20-year-old but the Grammy-winning singer had just the right words for it. Despite the journey leaving her breathless, she enjoyed growing up for the most part.

Eilish said, “I am still young but I loved being a teenager.” Seems like most of us even the chart-topping singer used to get cold feet at the thought of growing up. But she said that even though it is very scary she has enjoyed the freedom that comes with age. And right after she went to hug her mother, who has always supported her from behind the camera in all these interviews.
