Stranger Things‘ sweetheart, Sadie Sink, had a bewildering revelation for her fans while speaking to Fashion Magazine. Talking about how she came to get the part she plays, she told how she was sidelined in the beginning because of her being “too old” for the role even though she was just fourteen at the time of the audition. She said that she practically had to ‘beg‘ and ‘plead‘ for the producers to give her a wider radius of subject matter to act upon and prove to them that she was right for the role.

Eventually, she landed a chemistry read with soon-to-be fellow actors, Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas). The rest is history. Sadie Sink got the confirmation for her role the very next day.

Playing a major role in a major series has definitely ‘accelerated’ her and helped her become more mature. On top of it, the fact that the whole cast goes through the process together just makes it more ‘fun’ for her. “I would’ve loved to have been in a school production with kids my age,” she said when asked about what she felt like about missing out on the “High School Musical Fantasy” part of her teen life.
