Fans can certainly bet that this superstar can be entrusted with any role as he has previously showcased his flexibility as an actor in several films from Spectre to Dune. Dave Bautista doesn’t think he is the right man to play the DC Comics villain

In the latest interview with Insider, Dave Bautista revealed he has turned down the role of DC Comics villain Bane. The actor sat down with the media house over the weekend to promote his upcoming film Knock at the Cabin. During the conversation, he talked about his meeting with Director James Gunn and how he realized that he won’t fit in the role.

“I have to say that I appreciate that because I don’t want to play a character that I can’t bring justice to it,” explained the Blade Runner 2049 star.

He continued that since the new head of DC Comics is starting everything afresh it is would right that he cast young actors for these roles. We all know that the DC Universe has been undergoing major changes after Gunn planned to entirely reboot it. So the 54-year-old has taken a step back because he doesn’t know if he would be able to handle the physical part.

Meanwhile, this news might be another big shock for fans who have already been struck by the exit of Henry Cavill, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Godot. Like all these fan-favorite actors Dave Bautista has long been looking forward to playing the Batman foe, Bane.
