“I am reborn” – Fans Take to Twitter Gushing Over Ryan Gosling as Ken in ‘Barbie’
Ryan Gosling started his journey in the giant world of cinema with the critically acclaimed The Believer in 2001. He only progressed to do more films so amazing that the line between creative and commercial was as thin as ever. The actor is the finest definition of an ‘indie actor’ with the impressive number of independent films he has wooed us with.
Now, he will be playing the role of Ken in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Barbie movie, which has left people intrigued but also confused when it comes to his role in the movie. The flick despite the out-there title has been a conundrum so confusing that fans have no idea what the movie is about.

Why is Ryan Gosling as Ken all that fans can think about?
To see Ryan Gosling, the Golden Globe-winning actor, shed off the layer of seriousness and exchange it for a sequenced jacket has been astonishing, to say the least. When the project was first announced, fans wondered if Gosling had it in him to be a part of a Barbie movie.
The questions weren’t necessarily about his acting range because not just anyone can bag an Academy award twice but more around the fact that Gosling would stick out like a sore thumb.
But the recently released teaser has erased any doubts that fans may have had. It instead replaced it with excitement around what Gosling is going to bring to the character. Not only does Gosling literally look like a live Ken doll to a level that even Steve Carell is left stunned but we have no clue whatsoever of what his role is.
If we research the previous Barbie ventures, all animated, we discover that Ken is a supportive muscular boyfriend to Barbie, who is living in her own world. But as witnessed in the teaser, the live-action Greta Gerwig movie is unlike anything ever made.
Starring a giant Margot Robbie as Barbie, Ryan Gosling as Ken, and Will Ferrell as the CEO of Mattel, the movie, while letting out a bare minimum, has driven fans crazy. So much that fans are already tweeting their desperate need for tickets to the Barbie movie, which is set to release in summer next year.

And Ryan Gosling, with his washboard abs sporting a Ken doll smirk, is responsible for most of the craziness. Twitter wholeheartedly agrees.
