Over the past years, Stranger Things has emerged as a winner in almost every category. From the ability of the Duffer Brothers to rope in a greater audience with each season down to the performance of the cast that grew on the show, it is surreal. Speaking of surreal, Stranger Things‘ horrifying antagonist, Vecna is painful to look at even from our screens. However, Millie Bobby Brown had the displeasure to see him up front, which naturally ended in tears for her.

Over multiple seasons Stranger Things‘ protagonists dealt with the Soviet Union, The Mind Fayer, The Spider Monster, and Demodogs. However, a majority will agree that none managed to extract a streak as Vecna did. Millie Bobby Brown had to find a way around her fear in order to give us the blockbuster that Stranger Things Season 4 was. And she found it in Jamie Campbell Bower’s smoking habits.

How did Millie Bobby Brown cope with Vecna?

The actress was eighteen when she witnessed Bower fully in his Vecna attire. While many know of how she broke down into tears at the sight, Bower also revealed how she overcame it. “She wouldn’t look at me and she was visibly just disgusted by the whole thing,” the actor had said in his Variety interview in 2022. He further added that after things had calmed down and he convinced her that it was him and not some monster with telekinesis abilities, the first thing Brown said was “I knew it was you when I could smell cigarettes,“. It’s always the little things.

Brown has proven to be an actor with prowess since the ripe age of thirteen. However, one forgets how much playing a character like Eleven would have taken from someone who was just a teenager at the beginning. No wonder both the horrifying and heartwarming moments in the show seem realistic.

Will Vecna emerge stronger in Stranger Things Season 5?

Stranger Things Season 5 is in the works and an official release date is yet to be announced. However, fans are sure that it is going to be no less terrific than the previous seasons. Especially since Vecna has come on board. It was smart of the Duffer Brothers to save the best for the last.

While Vecna will probably be causing chaos in Season 5, there is yet to be any announcement on what lies ahead for the terrifying villain. But for Jamie Campbell Bower it means “Seven and a half hours” of transforming into Vecna every day and one and a half hours of attaining his human form again.
