Meghan Markle has been the lightning rod for trolling and online hate. Since her relationship with Prince Harry went public, the former American actress has been under scrutiny from royal watchers. The online hate and abuse only aggravated post-Meghan and Harry’s exit from the royal family.

As Queen Elizabeth II breathed her last on September 08, Meghan Markle has been accompanying her husband to all the mourning ceremonies. The 41-year-old kept aside all the previous grudges as she marked her attendance in the service ceremonies for the late matriarch and her state funeral. However, the loyal Britishers and crown servants scoffed at the Duchess of Sussex during the state funeral for even the smallest incidents.

Social media brutally stabbed Meghan Markle as she became a victim of misinformation campaigns. People scrutinized her every move, from wiping away a tear at the funeral to her dress and her facial expressions. Specific social media users did not like the Sussex royal’s presence at the funeral, as they believed that it hurt the late monarch. 

Meanwhile, some termed her tears as an act of gaining publicity. As per Insider, certain TikTok videos went viral that claimed that Meghan had dressed up as Princess Diana at the funeral. However, the claim had little to no truth, as Meghan’s outfit was about paying tribute to Her Majesty.

She carried out a sleek look for the funeral. Meghan Markle donned a set of diamond and pearl earrings gifted to her by the Queen in 2018. Meanwhile, her black cape dress was a version of the look she carried during Queen Elizabeth II’s 92nd birthday. 

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle was not the only one to be bashed online. People caused a social media trial of Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles. They spewed hate on Camilla by remembering the late Princess Diana and how she deserved the title better. The act of Camilla receiving online hate was a little surprising, as the royal has managed to create a place for herself with her kindness and compassion in recent years.
