At the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, Billie Eilish won the Record of the Year for Bad Guy. She also won the Best New Artist, Song, and Record of the Year (both for Bad Guy), and, of course, the album of the year. Although Old Town Road singer also took 2 awards, one for Best Music Video and the other for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, home. But he said Eilish’s record of the year was “unfair.”

When the Happier Than Ever singer won the Album of the Year Award, Nas thought he had the biggest song. Therefore, Eilish getting the award was “unfair” in his eyes. This feeling of disappointment turned into jealousy and he took it on Billie Eilish. However, during the lockdown period, the singer reflected upon his feelings and realized his jealousy has no base. During his interview with British GQ for the Style Summer 2021 issue, he opened up about it and shared his experience.
He realized he had the longest-running number-one song, which made him question his jealousy. Even if he didn’t have the award with huge recognition, he was blessed to be alive. And he realized he didn’t have any reason to be jealous over these awards. He was disappointed because he expected to take that award home with him. Although he didn’t win the album of the year, he still won 2 awards, which he was grateful for. Nas’ newfound hobby of reading made him realize what was more important. The singer found the tricks to block out the negative energies while focusing on forming his confidence.

His song, Old Town Road, broke records by staying on top for 19 weeks. However, this amazing achievement stood in second place when Eilish’s Bad Guy overtook the first position on the charts.
