How Harrison Ford ‘Misread the Script’ About Punching Ryan Gosling in the Face
With the popularity of Blade Runner 2049 coming back to the internet, many moments in the film are noteworthy. With Ryan Gosling as the lead, the movie now has a ‘cult’ following just like Shutter Island, Drive, and Inception, which fans treat like a legacy. Not only him but Ana De Armas has created a space for herself with her famous dance routine. One such moment that everybody remembers is Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) punching Officer K.
The intense scene takes place in a worn-out location which also includes a cat-and-mouse-like chasing scene. The random hologram appearing with Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe gives a dystopian vibe. With this, Rick ends up punching Officer K., talking about the same scene, Harrison shed some light as to what went behind the choreography.

Harrison Ford revealed the true story behind his punching Ryan Gosling
In 2017, Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling worked together in the Oscar-winning movie Blade Runner 2049. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the duo opened up the punching scene. Ford, who played the role of former blade runner Rick Deckard, talked about how they filmed the scene.
“Oh I misread the script,” joked Ford and stated that he smashed Gosling in the face, which was not the deal. He described the scene that the flashing lights surrounding them as he went on to punch him. Moreover, he added that they took about a hundred takes, and he only punched Ryan once.

“I should be lucky I didn’t get hit more is the theme of this, it’s not just a punch though a Harrison Ford punch is a different animal altogether,” commented the 42-year-old star.
The hilarious part of all this mistaken script thing was that the Patriot Games star didn’t think it was good enough. While Gosling seemed to disagree with him and said “I’ll be the judge of that.” Currently, Ryan Gosling is gearing up for the highly anticipated film Barbie based on the eponymous fashion doll line.
