Ryan Reynolds got scolded by his mom for the life-threatening role
In 2010, Buried appeared on the big screen that featured Ryan Reynolds as a truck driver named Paul. Attacked by a group of Iraqis, Paul gets stuck inside a coffin buried six feet under the ground. Being claustrophobic, the movie explores how the protagonist races against time to get out of the place.
The 90-minute film showcased Ryan in the coffin for most of the time. Seeing him buried for the entire time did not sit well with his mother, and she was visibly upset with the actor. Not only his mother but all his loved ones who watched the movie questioned Ryan Reynolds for taking up such a character.

“My mother went at the end of the screening. She just looked over at me, and she said how dare you. Well, what could I say? It’s my mom. Everybody was pretty angry with me by the end of the film,” said the Deadpool star while speaking on a YouTube channel, jeannewolfshollywood, in 2010.

Further in the interaction, Ryan described his emotions while shooting the film. The 45-year-old mentioned that it was one of the toughest characters. And that he had to shoot the entire sequence while being underground. It was also a one-take movie as they did not take any considerable breaks.
