Meghan Markle might not have the royal family having her back during pregnancy, but she still got some of the well-wishers she adores the most. Talking about the Canadian First Lady in her latest Archetypes episode, the Duchess of Sussex felt immensely grateful for her support while she was expecting baby Lilibet. 

Last Tuesday, Markle explored the stereotypes associated with being a good wife/bad wife and a good mom/bad mom. Relating her life stories to the agenda of the podcast, Markle put into words the constant support she received from Sophie Gregoire Trudeau during the course of her pregnancy. Here is how the First Lady of Canada had the Duchess’ back last year.

Speaking with her guests, Markle introduced her supporter and mentor, who was none other than Sophie Gregoire Trudeau. The first Lade of Canada talked about parental leave and friendship with Markle on the podcast while the Duchess exchanged some private voice notes that Trudeau sent her consisting some meditation routines and words of encouragement that the former cherishes to date. 

Markle also confessed that even before pregnancy, she looked up to her advice. They have been best friends for years. The duchess’s Instagram account had pictures of the pair hanging around together in their early lives. “She knows what it feels like to be a mum, and a partner,” the Duchess said and added, “Especially a mum and a partner in the public eye,” giving a straight reference to the way the media keeps a tab on her personal life. 

Speaking of her grievances further, she shares the vulnerabilities that come along with harboring expectations. Praising her dearest friend the Suits alum added that Sophie feels so familiar because she knows “how crushing the guilt or expectation can be.”

Meghan Markle’s podcasts have stirred the internet with various people outraged by her opinions and others taking her support. Recently, her previous podcasts were also targeted by Royal experts.
